US Open, The Grand Slam

It all started well for Roger Federer to get his hands on the US Open 6th trophy. Roger played very well in first round and defeated Santiago Giraldo (COL, 54) 6-4, 6-3, 6-2 in a classic display then Roger Federer defeated Dudi Sela (ISR, 93) 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 in straight sets but in the 3rd round Roger faced a giant server Marin Cilic of Croatia. Roger played very well and defeated him in 4 sets, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2. In Fourth Round Roger Federer played Juan Monaco (ARG, 36) and defeated him in straight sets with just losing three games 6-1, 6-2, 6-0. After defeating Roger reached in his 30th consecutive Grand Slam Quarter Final where he faced a opponent who defeated Roger Federer in Wimbledon Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (FRA, 11) but here Roger Federer shows some display and defeated him in straight sets 6-4, 6-3, 6-3.  Then comes the Semi-Final where Roger faced another heart break against Djokovic. After playing comfortably and confidently and taking the 2 sets to love lead Roger lost mext three sets to Novak. The story was that Roger had two match points On his on serve and lost the match in 5 sets. 7-6(9), 6-4, 3-6, 2-6, 5-7.  So It is where Roger took the break and skipped Shanghai to get some rest and get some confidence.
